Come down to Esther Short Park and enjoy the wonderful Farmers Market on Esther Street.  LOTS of vendors with yummy food, wonderful artisans, plants and flowers, delicious produce.  You also have the bonus of live music and street performers, not to mention it's still very DOG-FRIENDLY.  It's fun for the WHOLE family.
