THANK YOU TO ALL WHO BROUGHT GIFTS!
OUR
1ST ANNUAL GIVING TREE
WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO
DOUG AND JODY CLEMESHA
FOR YOUR GENEROUS DONATIONS TO HEARTBEAT AND TO YWCA!!
YWCA's SafeChoice Shelter

We deliverd a carload of gifts to the YWCA on Thursday. The gifts included a coffee pot, crock pot, skateboard, blanket, towels, toys, balls, dolls, art supplies, science kits, jewelry, watch, gift cards, a ton of board games and more! It was very appreciated! We filled up their giving tree for that day and then some!
About the YWCA "Holiday Shop"
On a special day each year, [the] program participants can forget about the trauma of domestic violence, sexual assault and homelessness. They can celebrate the holidays. This happens when they come to the YWCA for "holiday shopping."
[The] program participants are homeless, fleeing violence or recovering from trauma. Without your help, they cannot come to our special "holiday store" and choose gifts for their children.
[The] staff and volunteers?who range in age from 8 to 88?will sort through the donated gifts and set up a genuine shopping experience complete with wrapping paper, bows, music and even freshly baked cookies. During this favorite December tradition at the YWCA, the holiday cheer is tangible, and tears of joy are not uncommon.

Benefitting Soldiers injured in the wars and their families
We collected OVER $250 for SPC S.J. and his family. It was overnighted to the family and was delivered Friday afternoon. He, his wife and 3 daughters want to say thank you for our support. SPC S.J. just returned home from the hospital. He is recovering from his 2nd back surgery.
John, Tracy and Paul want to send out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to our Giving Tree. We came together, even in this tough economy, and helped numerous struggling families have a little happiness this season!!
